Approximately 200 – 300 people showed up at an Open Idaho rally in Coeur d’Alene, Kootenai County, Idaho. It was initially organized by Adam Gregory. There were old and young, singles people and families. Most were conservative, but I did run into a couple that seemed not to be Republican, and many people who didn’t seem to have a “bone to pick” in the political sphere but were highly upset with the stay-at-home-order.
The message appeared to be re-open Idaho. Emergencies should not suspend the constitution and Natural rights. It is not merely people who are skeptics of some of the science. It is not only people who have a problem with Governor Little.
Most people were agitated but spoke respectfully about President Trump and Governor Little. Yet people were profoundly irritated that in Idaho, churches were deemed “non-essential.” Liquor stores, essential, churches non-essential. Thus there were several “open our churches” handmade signs. There were also several local famous pastors in attendance.
Some people did “elbow bumps” or whatnot. Some would shake hands; others would not. It was a cross-section of many different types of people. It was beautiful to hang out with patriots of all stripes.
