Post Falls, Idaho – Incumbent Idaho State Senator Don Cheatham, today publicly announced his support for Alex Barron as his replacement. Also, Don Cheatham provided the maximum financial support allowed by law for Alex Barron’s historic campaign to continue his work in the Idaho State Senate. State Senator Don Cheatham said “I am voting for Alex Barron, and I encourage all of those who have supported me in the past to support Alex Barron.”
“I am so thankful for State Senator Cheatham’s support in the race to continue his great work representing western Kootenai County. I look forward to finishing some of his priorities, especially continuing to reduce the regulatory burden on Idahoans, and reducing our oppressive tax burden.”
Alex Barron is a husband, father, veteran, engineer, and a gentleman farmer, who spent nearly a decade overseas protecting the American people with the US Navy. Alex has been involved in Idaho conservative politics since 2012, helping elect several conservatives to office and expanding freedom such as helping to pass constitutional carry. He is a Life Member of the NRA since 2014. As an abortion survivor he is staunchly pro-life. He now lives out on the Rathdrum prairie with his wife, children and some livestock including a horse, a dog, three cats, and a small backyard flock of layers. “I like chickens because the produce more than they consume” says Alex.
“During this time of challenge and loss it is imperative to send a representative to Boise who has the training and experience in facing large scale catastrophes to ensure we recover from this pandemic as quickly as possible. I have the practical engineering thinking, extensive training, and experience needed and as your state senator I will work tirelessly to restore our health and economic vitality. I am confident that by applying creative new ideas to expand prosperity, freedom, and opportunity we will emerge from this challenge better and stronger than before.”
